On this page we honor those that put
the "Class" and the "Best" in "Class A Tournament Softball At It's Best!"
Those below exemplify what it means to be a
Delco Diamond. They have given all to the organization, on the field and
off.
Through their approach to the game they have brought and held the spotlight on
the Delco Diamonds Softball Organization.

Jim Christy
March 29, 1957 - March 8, 2008
Delco Diamonds President
and
18U Showcase Team Manager
Jim Christy was one of the founding
fathers of the Delco Diamonds in 2004. Under Jim's guidance,
the Delco Diamonds grew from that one team to become one of the
area's premier tournament softball organizations.
Jim's vision and mantra was: "It's all about the girls". Jim
was tireless in his pursuit of getting his players seen and
recruited by college coaches so that his girls could first, get a
college education and second play softball at the collegiate
level. Jim was so adept at this process that players from
far and wide contacted the organization seeking to become a Delco
Diamond player.
Jim left behind a Wife, Son and a Daughter and scores of players
he considered his family. |
